Although it is a farm-level oriented Network, agri benchmark is going to expand its activities into the supply chain. The logical approach would be to expand the benchmarking already performed on farm-level to the next step beyond the farm gate, i.e., to the slaughter and processing industry. It proved, however, rather difficult to obtain quantified information from the processing level.
We therefore decided to deepen the analysis in the fields of sector and trade data first. This analysis serves
a) as a basis and background information for the farm analysis, and
b) as complementary information that helps agri benchmark to become a focus point of product-related information and expertise.
Examples for the type analysis carried out are listed below. The sector level information in the result list of the product branches provides further information.
