Find out more about the status quo of the Cash Crop Network in the following sections:
The Cash Crop Network started as an oilseeds project; since 2005 wheat is included into the analysis. As of 2007 also corn and barley are part of our analysis. Based on a cost and return comparison the description and analysis of production systems has been developed. Since returns differ significantly between the countries in the network productivity figures became a cornerstone of economic analysis. In future, production systems and rotations will become more important.
Of course, the Network is supposed to grow in terms of countries and regions as well. We therefore encourage researchers and institutions and ag companies to become partners of agri benchmark. The Network provides high value output for everybody interested in economics of arable farming.
