At present the agri benchmark network is formed by more than 30 institutions in more than 20 countries. We are always interested in increasing the network to further countries and experts.

As a partner of agri benchmark you
agri benchmark is based on partnership arrangements.
There are two types of partner institutions:
The scientific partners form the agri benchmark consortium. There is one consortium for each branch. Generally, there is only one consortium member per branch and country. The consortium meets once a year for a conference (for example Beef and Sheep Conference). Throughout the year, the partners practice an intensive exchange of information via Internet (see Activities).
The cooperation within the consortium is based on the principle “put your country in and get the world back”. To ensure the same rights and duties for all consortium members, the same rules and standards apply to all participants. These rules are agreed upon by the consortium.
The consortium institutions participate in financing the overhead costs of the global network by paying an annual consortium fee. They may re-finance themselves by contracting institutions and agribusiness companies in their country.
The agribusiness partners are non-scientific institutions (associations, companies, ministries, supra-national organisations) which want to support the development of the agri benchmark project. These partners provide funding in order to allow agri benchmark to expand to new countries, to open new branches, and to analyse new aspects of international agriculture.
Depending on the level of support, the agribusiness partners have access to different levels of information and involvement in agri benchmark. This applies to, for example, access to farm data, special studies regarding future developments of typical farms, participation in annual conferences and/or in-house workshops organized by agri benchmark.
In any case, agri benchmark provides sufficient flexibility for special arrangements if they are beneficial for the network development. For details, please contact the responsible branch coordinator directly or send us the order form for more information about partnerships.
