First workshop of the Australian agri benchmark Network

On the 12th and 13th of May 2014 the first meeting of the Australian agri benchmark Network took place in Sydney.

During the first day Thomas de Witte introduced the guests to the agri benchmark Network and the tools, used for data collection and calculations. During the second day the participants entered typical farm data based on their experience. At the workshop, agricultural consultants from different states in Australia participated:

New South Wales: Simon Fritsch, Robert Sizer (Agripath)

Queensland: Peter Wylie (Agripath)

South Australia: Simon Vogt, Patrick Redden (Rural Directions)

Victoria: Brett Symes, Phil O'Callaghan (ORM)

Western Australia: Ashley Herbert, Chris Pinkney (Agrarian Management), Shane Sander, David Mighall (Agvise Management), Nikki Dumbrell (WANTFA)

After the workshop, most of the participants saw a high value in participating in the national agri benchmark Network and wanted to become partners.

The national agri benchmark Network in Australia is supported by the Grain Research and Development Corporation (GRDC), Canberra.
